Open chat from any board and it sits beside your lists, so you can read and reply without leaving the board. On a phone it opens full screen.
Channels, private channels and direct messages
Every workspace starts with a #general channel. Add a channel for each topic or project, make a channel private so only its members can read it, or message one teammate directly. Private chats are protected by the database rules, not just hidden in the app.
Conversations that keep their context
Reply to a specific message so the thread stays clear, @mention a teammate, and react to messages. Unread counts and a "New messages" line show what you missed. For a discussion about one task, use the comments on its card.
Files and live updates
Attach files to messages: up to 10 MB each on Free, 25 MB on Pro and 100 MB on Max. They count against the workspace's file storage. Messages reach everyone in real time.
Why chat belongs in your project tool
